Crime declining in Phoenix: What's the latest in the trend? - Sep ‘24


The number of crime incidents in Phoenix saw an overall decrease last month, after a previous rise, according to data from CrimeoMeter. Incidents fell to 5,072 for Sep-2024 down from 5,590 for Aug-2024 (-9.3% change).

The offenses that decreased the most were Burglary/Breaking & Entering and Motor Vehicle Theft. Burglary/Breaking & Entering fell to 510 incidents last month, from 608 the month before. (-16.1% change). Motor Vehicle Theft went from 749 to 639 (-14.7% change).


Among the types of offenses that saw an uptick last month, reports of Robbery went from 193 to 223 incidents (+15.5% change).
