The number of crime incidents in Philadelphia saw an overall decrease last month, after a previous decrease, according to data from CrimeoMeter. Incidents fell to 12,884 for Nov-2022 down from 13,319 for Oct-2022 (-3.3% change).
The offenses that decreased the most were Theft From Motor Vehicle and Destruction/Damage/Vandalism of Property. Theft From Motor Vehicle fell to 1,263 incidents last month, from 1,550 the month before. (-18.5% change). Destruction/Damage/Vandalism of Property went from 1,234 to 1,153 (-6.6% change).
Among the types of offenses that saw an uptick last month, reports of Motor Vehicle Theft went from 1,072 to 1,282 incidents (+19.6% change). Incidents of Drug/Narcotic Violations rose from 248 to 272 (+9.7% change). Burglary/Breaking & Entering went up from 486 to 504 incidents (+3.7% change).
