Crime increasing in Denver: What's the latest in the trend? - Mar ’24



The number of crime incidents in Denver saw an overall increase last month, after a previous decrease, according to data from CrimeoMeter. Incidents increased to 5,532 for Mar-2024 up from 5,485 for Feb-2024 (+0.9% change).



Among the types of offenses that saw an uptick last month, reports of Simple Assault went from 250 to 313 incidents (+25.2% change). Incidents of Destruction/Damage/Vandalism of Property rose from 556 to 642 incidents (+15.5% change). Theft From Motor Vehicle went up from 429 to 480 incidents (+11.9% change).
