The number of crime incidents in Houston saw an overall increase last month, after a previous rise, according to data from CrimeoMeter. Incidents increased to 12,236 for Oct-2024 up from 10,149 for Sep-2024 (+20.6% change).
Among the types of offenses that saw an uptick last month, reports of Aggravated Assault went from 634 to 959 incidents (+51.3% change). Incidents of Robbery rose from 366 to 498 incidents (+36.1% change). Theft From Motor Vehicle went up from 1,408 to 1,863 incidents (+32.3% change).
