The number of crime incidents in Houston, TX saw an overall increase last month, after a previous decrease, according to data from CrimeoMeter. Incidents increased to 13,426 for Mar-2023 up from 11,883 for Feb-2023 (+13% change).
Among the types of offenses that saw an uptick last month, reports of Aggravated Assault went from 715 to 923 incidents (+29.1% change). Incidents of Destruction/Damage/Vandalism of Property rose from 1,511 to 1,910 (+26.4% change). Simple Assault went up from 1,460 to 1,686 incidents (+15.5% change).
