The number of crime incidents in Raleigh, NC saw an overall increase last month, after a previous increase, according to CrimeoMeter data. Incidents increased to 3,286 for July-2022, up from 3,279 in Jun-2022 (+0.2% change).
The offenses that increased the most were shoplifting and vandalism. Shoplifting increased to 202 incidents last month, from 183 the month before (+10.4% change). Vandalism increased to 291 from 273 (+6.6% change).
There was also an increase in burglary, from 99 incidents to 104 (+5.1% change), and in simple assault, from 369 to 388 incidents (+5.1% change).
The offenses that decreased the most were aggravated assault and drug/narcotic violations. Aggravated assault fell to 92 incidents last month, from 117 the month before (-21.4% change). Drug/Narcotic violations also decreased from 359 incidents to 284 (-20.9% change).
